Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands in 1969, I first used the camera to document “Wildlife” in the Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam at the age of 6.
After this, photography was a little bit forgotten except for the times I "stole" the camera from my dad to capture the moment.
After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, I worked in this line of field for several years before I started traveling. During these travels I picked up my long lost interest. I've always been interested in traveling, and I love photography, so it seemed a good idea to combine the two.

I got even more enthusiastic due to all the positive feedback from friends and family. But still the first photographs disappointed me, so thinking that the fault lay with the camera, I bought myself a better one and began educating myself in its use.
Next to that I also studied the work of established photographers and read a lot of how-to books and articles.
During a safari holiday, I again started photographing animals. “Animals are fascinating, animals communicate a lot with body language”.
The key is to capture it on “film”.
